Long time no post. There have been several developments in the month+ since I last updated the blog. We had a survey completed for the property. This is a requirement for getting the wet zoning that will allow us to have a tasting room. We should have a hearing for that zoning in a few months. We could use the support of those that want to see Cigar City Brewing become a reality. I'll post the hearing date with enough notice for anyone that wishes to come to the council meeting and voice their support.

I wired the down payment for the brewhouse. It is being manufactured by Premier Stainless Systems out of California. Premier has built systems for Pizza Port, Ballast Point, the three bay area Hoppers and many others and they do top notch work. It should be ready in 4-5 months and be in the building and ready to brew in six months.

We should be ready to start preparing the space for the equipment, sloping the floors and installing drains, in the coming month. I'll also be making a public announcement as to who the head brewer will be in the coming weeks.
