28: Steam Boiler Arrives. Also have some test art for Jai Alai IPA:

Our gas powered steam boiler arrived late in the day and of everything we have had to lift, pull, drag, finagle, cajole or shimmy from a semi truck bed so far, this one proved to be the most tricky. A steam boiler is a delicate machine despite all of the metal so we had to go very slow. It was put on the flat bed with a crane and I don't think it was designed to be taken off with a forklift. But, hey we are a typical small brewery which means we seldom have the cash to do anything by design. Here are some pics of the boiler:

Earlier today Denise and Jason (artist) from Sensory 5, the marketing company that is helping with some of our logo design and hopefully our future marketing endeavors, came by with some rough sketches of the Jai Alai IPA artwork. There are few changes that need to be made such as the hop cone that is being thrown looking more like it is in motion and a few other details, but I like how it is starting. The background is from a bridge in Havana and I think it adds an interesting ancient look to the art. I also like the hop cone hats. Hop-head Jai Alai players! Here are some pics:

And here is my wife Jennifer modeling one of our new hats. They turned out better than I'd hoped:

That's all for now. We should have more by the end of the week.

Cheers,
Joey Redner
