68: Workers, Workers Everywhere But No Drops of Beer To Drink. Yet!

Pre-p.s. Can you do a p.s. at the beginning of a document? No one seems to be stopping me so I guess you can. Anyway I wanted to say thanks to Travis Kruger of Dunedin Brewery for mentioning us on his excellent blog: The World of Beer
 http://blog.theworldofbeer.com/

In addition to keeping Dunedin brewery cool Travis is a longtime luminary in the Tampa Bay beer scene and his posts make for great reading both for local and national beer-related observations.

So....I pulled into the brewery today and was treated to such a bustle of activity I nearly brewed up some tears of joy! There were workers everywhere! Electricians, Fencers, HVAC guys oh my! Alan from PSS (the manufacturer of our brew house) even came by to help us get the brew house in place. Naturally, I snapped tons of pics.

But, before I could get my photog on the first thing we had to tackle was getting the air compressor and chiller onto their concrete slabs so the fencing guys could put their fence up. When I go to the brewery Wayne had the compressor hoisted up on the forks, held aloft by some moving straps. It looked more than a little precarious but Wayne's rigging held like a champ.

After a little finagling we go everything in place and the fences got put up in no time. The fencing company we used is called Witt Fence. I have used them before at my home and they just flat out rock. They are always one of the cheapest bids yet they do quality work and they do it quickly. If you ever need a fence in the Tampa area, they are the guys to call. And I swear I got no discount for saying that I am just a very satisfied customer. Anyway here are some pics of said fence:

We also had the boiler tech guys onsite, but we all know that boiler tech guys are boring so I didn't take pictures of them. Moving on.

We had Electricians up in the rafters installing their pipes. Electricians are slightly less boring so I snapped a pic of them:

Once we got things squared away with dealing with contractors, figuring out where in the roof we'd be cutting holes for exhaust and other boring stuff the fun work began. Alan from PSS started putting the brewhouse together. As anyone reading this blog knows, brewhouses are just orasmically exciting so I snapped lots of pics of the brewhouse:

Well that is all for now. Things are continuing to go as scheduled for a change and we might actually make beer on or about the 15th as we have been saying since the last time we had to change the start date. We still aren't there yet, but it wont be long till we have happy full fermenters and drop after drop of beer to drink!

Cheers,
Joey Redner
