70: Brewhouse Installation Update.

Well it looks like we will need to revise our estimate for our first brew day. It looks like instead of the 15th we'll be starting around the 17th to 20th. I think closer to the 18th, but there are factors we can't control. The electrical contractors were working today (Saturday the 10th) which is good because getting power run is of course a major piece of the puzzle and they should be nearing completion soon.

Wayne snapped some pics on Friday and I am including them. They are great shots of the brewhouse, which is mostly in position though not plumbed in or piped. There are also shots of the gristmill and keg washer and the backsplash Wayne, Kevin and I put up.

She is looking shiny!

The brewhouse control panel is oh so 80's looking!

Great shot with all the fermenters lined up.

Here you can see the Hermes coil Wayne had built into the Hot Liquor tank.

This is the Fiberglass Reinforced Paneling we put up as a backsplash behind the brewhouse. At the bottom right you can see the round metal tank pads we used as weight to hold the rubber floor molding in place. WORD OF ADVICE: Do not buy self sticking floor molding to use on fiberglass. It wont stick and you'll have to use liquid nails, like some dumbasses I could tell you about. You can also see the inlet that was added to the Hot Liquor tank for hot water on demand. A nifty feature, but don't back into that inlet at full speed. It'll leave a nasty bruise on you, like it did to some idiot I could tell you about.

This is our three head, two resevoir keg washer set into place near the space for the future tank farm.

And last but not least the malt mill and grist case with the first bit of section for the auger run attached.

That is all for now. More to come soon.

Cheers,
Joey
