72: Ok This Time We Really Think We Are Close To Brewing Actual Beer.....
The adjusted time line for our first brew day, which if you follow this blog you know adjusts about every hour, is Wednesday. We'll be brewing Maduro Oatmeal Brown Ale which is one of our core beers. It replaces Patio Pils which will become a semi-seasonal beer until we have additional tank space to dedicate to it. This is the logo proof for the Maduro. If you are wondering what the hell Maduro is/means well we decided to tap into Tampa's cigar roots for the name. Taken from the glossary at cigaradvisor.com:

All we are waiting on is some final electric work and our glycol lines. This should all be wrapped up by Tuesday. Though I'm sure come Wednesday I'll make a post saying we will be brewing Friday
That is just how it seems to go.
In the mean time I have some more pics Wayne took that I just never got a chance to post. It shows the stacks for our boiler and kettle being erected as well as some first class silicone work performed by yours truly.

And this last shot came about because Wayne is clearly in awe of my mad siliconing skillz:

It also came about, because the FRP board we put up behind the brewhouse wasn't exactly master craftsman work, so I had a few gaps that needed sealing. Fortunately there is nothing a few tubes of silicone wont fix.
Hopefully I'll be updating again on Thursday with pics of our first brew day! Cross your fingers.
Cheers,
Joey Redner
p.s. Our walk-in cooler is running great, holding temp and even has lights. Snazzy!
