78: PASSED!
Got the electric crew in today and the inspector squeezed us in same day and we can get electricity flowing again as soon as TECO is able to run the line to our new service! How long that takes we can't say for sure. TECO is closed till Monday. If we can get them to rush we can have it hooked up next week. I had the 25th pegged as the deadline to assure we have beer ready for the CCB Launch Party at Oldsmar Tap House. That is Wednesday. Keep your fingers crossed.
If we are delayed that will necessitate us moving the launch party back to March 28th. We also got plans drawn up for the tasting room and it looks like we can get by with just a railing seperating the tasting room from the brewery and updating the bathrooms to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Which means the construction should be a lot cheaper. And we'll have a fairly roomy 1200 sq ft of tasting room. It won't look pretty out of the gate, but will allow for tours/tastings and retail sales fo our beers. Plus up to 4 beer dinners a month. The reason it is only 4 a month, only our beers and we can't just sell pints is because we purposely placed those restrictions on ourselves in order to get the wet zoning.
Ultimately it is my goal to demosntrate that we are an asset to the city of Tampa and a responsible neighbor and be able to run more of a proper tasting room with draft lines as well as growler and bottles to go. But, that is a dragon to slay another day. Today we cleared a major hurdle and that is reason to be happy for now.
Have a good weekend and if you are heading to Stogies n Stouts I'll see you there. The lineup is RIDICULOUS this year! There is much more than just what is listed on the webiste. I only wish we'd had Bolita ready for this.
Cheers,
Joey Redner
