79: We Are Brewing Again, Launch Party Date is Finalized and Florida Brewer's Guild Update...

Tampa Electric attached us to the grid on Thursday and we brewed another batch of Maduro Oatmeal Brown Ale today. Wayne will be brewing Jai Alai India Pale tomorrow and then again next week before finishing off with Bolita Double Nut Brown Ale. We'll follow those brews with Big Sound Scotch Ale and Marshal Zhukov's Imperial Stout. It's great to finally be making beer again after such a dissapointing delay. But, if we have learned anything during this project it is that delays come with the territory.

We have finalized the date for our launch party. It will be hed at Oldsmar Tap House on March 28th. The lineup will look like this:

Bolita Brown Ale, multiple kegs
Jai Alai India Pale Ale, multiple kegs
Maduro Oatmeal Brown Ale, multiple kegs
Bolita Brown Ale (One Cask Version)
Jai Alai India Pale Ale (One Cask Version)
Maduro Oatmeal Brown Ale (One Cask Version)
Humidor Series "OTH Launch Party Amber" (a one time release dry-hopped Amber ale aged on cigar box cedar) 5 gal keg
Oatmeal Rye India Brown Ale 5 Gal keg
Humidor Series (Cedar Aged Marshal Zhukov's Imperial Stout) 5 Gal Keg
Hunahpus Imperial Stout 5 Gal Keg.

The festivities kick off at 2PM and should run till 1 AM or so. The smaller 5 gal kegs and casks will be tapped throughout the day on a staggered schedule to be determined later, so you won't have to worry that if you can't make it early all the special release brews will be gone.

We'll also be at the Florida Brewer's Guild Fest in Ybor City next weekend, March 7th from 2-6 PM. Much to my extreme dissapointment the month delay getting our power running means we'll only have the Maduro Oatmeal Brown Ale to sample, but we will have a special Humidor Series (Cedar Aged Maduro Oatmeal Brown Ale) Cask Version. The cask we sent to Stogies N Stouts didn't get the full two weeks it really needed to carbonate fully, but this one will be ready to go with plenty of time to condition.
