94: Big Sound Scotch Ale is bottled.

The first half of the bottling night went quite well. The second half not so much. We started getting a lot of foamy breakout and tried various measures to get back on track. We finally just had to scoop the foam out of the filling tank and start over. Once we got back on track things went pretty quickly again. Future bottling should go much more smoothly and we'll be able to crank through 750 ml bottling pretty quickly. A variable speed pump to lessen the agitation of the beer wouldn't hurt either.

After filling barrels, casks, kegs and assorted blends we are working on our total remaining yield for bottling came out to 113 cases of 750's. We'll be holding back 3 cases for the tasting room so there will be an even 110 cases for the Orlando/Tampa Bay market. Look for them to hit retail in about three weeks if our test bottles are showing good carbonation in the coming two weeks.

Thanks to everyone who came out and spent a glamorous Friday night getting covered in sticky beer so we could get this batch bottled. As always we appreciate the help and the support!

Cheers,
Joey Redner
