101: Tasting Room Pics. New Brewery Floor Pics. Handmade Tap Handle Pics and more..
This entry will be short and sweet. It's just a few pics I snapped around the brewery last weekend:
This is a pic of the new brewery floor coating. It's a tiny bit more professional looking than the bare concrete we had before.
The new bathrooms. You really needed to see the old ones to appreciate these very plain new ones. I think the running hot water is a nice touch and suspect you'll see that sort of thing catch on in the not too distant future.
This is a wider shot of the new tasting room area. The railing still needs to go up and we need to toss some flair around, but it looks a lot better than it did back when the space was primarily used to store junk we couldn't find any other home for.
We ran out of tap handles and had to make our own. When you are in a pinch what do you do? Call your momma of course. The shop guys next door cut the wood and mom worked up the labels and epoxy'd them into place.
Mom hand painted this version to look like the CCB cigar logo. The ember part is the bottom of the tap handle. It's hand made as all get out, but I have grown fond of these tap handles.
Here is a pallet of 110K+OT. It is scheduled to leave the brewery on May 18th.

The Hunahpus release went over well. It was great seeing so many new and old faces and everyone was very patient with our staff as we scrambled to serve everyone. I was also impressed with how generous everyone was with the beer they brought and how conscientious folks were about cleaning up after themselves (Billy Burns aside). Thanks to everyone who helped pull the Hunahpus Release Party off and everyone who came out to try our beers.

The barrels were shipped to us with shrink wrap on them. At first we took the shrink wrap off. Then we decided not to bother as it doesn't effect the barrel in any way.
So to answer your question, some are shrink wrapped because we were too lazy to take the shrink wrap off.

Looking good ... all set up for business! The floor coating you have now does look much better than bare concrete - had you considered a soft covering? There are actually quite a lot of carpet tile products that are durable, look great for ages, and are completely washable ... as well as much quieter and more comfortable underfoot

Rinse several times with water barrel. Rinse thoroughly and check that there are disturbing odors or smells. If the odor persists, you may need to re-take the gun fired, also sterilization.
