106: New Label Designs...Tasting Room Updates....New/Old Beer News
We have two new label designs to reveal. I purposely left the the images a bit wider than we normally do so folks could get a better look at them. The second one we'll look at is for Hunahpu's Imperial Stout (yes we decided to bottle it, no I can't say when it will be released) and the first is for our Oatmeal Rye India Brown Ale, though the Guv'ment wont actually let us call it an India Brown Ale so it is now Oatmeal Rye India-style Brown Ale. Since the original name was O.R.I.B.A. and we'd have to include the S in the abbreviation making it O.R.I.S.B.A. which sounds lispy we decided to improvise, and came up with this:

In other brewery news we added the Guava to Guava Grove today. About two hours after it was added I was already getting hints of the guava in the beer pulled from the zwickel. I am really looking forward to drinking this beer throughout the Summer.
Growler sales have gone quite well. Considering the limited time frame we can be open (Monday thru Friday only, no weekends and we have to close by 5PM all but 4 days a month) it has been very solid. We also got our 1 gallon growlers in and they look great. They are a very dark amber and stubbier than the clear 1 gallon growlers. We've already gone through 2 cases of them. We also got the labels in for our 32 oz growlers today which is nice because duct tape, while straight-up fly in its own way, doesn't have quite the same look as a pre-printed label.
Fans of Bolita Brown Ale we'll be pleased to know that the Bolita we had aging in a Maker's Mark barrel was bottled on Wednesday. This will be a brewery only release, though the date has not been determined, and only 170 of the 750 ml (25.4 oz) bottles will be sold to the public. The Price will be $20 per bottle with a limit of 3 bottles per person. We have also decided to brew regular Bolita again and this time it will be availible in 750 ml bottles as well as on draft.
