129: Son of @&%!
So today was supposed to be a leisurely day of filtering beer over to the brite tank in preparation of kegging tomorrow. Instead Wayne comes in find that one of the pumps on our new glycol chiller has blown a gasket and no glycol is running to our tanks. This is a very bad thing when you are located in Florida in the summer.
Wayne and our Assistant Brewer Doug went to get the gasket fixed but the pump motor bound up and as of 5 PM they were both still working trying to get the chiller going again. Hopefully they have some success on what was otherwise a totally shot day.
If things are not thrown drastically off shcedule we hope to bottle Bolita Double Nut Brown Ale next Monday and Improvisacion Oatmeal Rye India-Style Brown Ale sometime at the end of next week or early the following week.
