282: Tampa Bay Brew Bus Hits Orlando!
Our tour around Tampa Bay was a complete success! We toured 3 local breweries and had a blast doing it, many thanks to all the breweries and especially to everyone on the bus for making it a success!
We're at it again and getting on the road Saturday May 14th to help kick off American Craft Beer Week taking place the week of May 16th-22nd. This time we will be headed out to Orlando for a look at 3 more craft breweries along with a stop for a pint at World of Beer on our way home!
The bus will leave at 10am en route to Orlando and make a stop in Minneola FL at Lagniappe Brewing Co. the home of Effenheimer Beer for a tour, a few samples, and a pint.
Next we will head to the Shipyard Emporium in Winter Park for lunch, a beer or two, and some samples from Ron's little brewery that could. Perhaps the smallest brewery operating in Florida at this point brewer Ron Raike is putting out some of the most innovative, amazing beers we've tried! The real trick is getting to them before they run out and rumor has it, he will be saving a little for us.
As we steer the brew bus back to the west, we will head to Orlando Brewing which is Florida's only certified organic microbrewery. We'll take a tour of this brewery right near downtown Orlando get the lowdown on what makes organic beer different and enjoy a pint or two of their fresh organic ale.
On our way back towards Tampa we will make a pit stop (or extended bathroom/beer break depending on how you want to look at it) at the World of Beer where we will sit and relax for a little bit before we head back to Cigar City Brewing in Tampa and say goodbye.
